Cuba Accuses US of Intensifying Economic Pressure

(MENAFN) Cuba’s foreign minister has accused the United States of intensifying what he described as economic pressure measures against the island, while also warning against any suggestion of military action.

In remarks shared on social media, he claimed that US officials have been implying the possibility of military intervention while simultaneously maintaining long-standing policies that he says aim to weaken Cuba economically. He described these actions as a form of sustained economic coercion that has recently increased through new policy measures.

He argued that both economic restrictions and any potential use of force would violate international law and characterized them as serious international offenses.
